Marion Susanne Campbell
NOVEMBER 11, 1934 - JANUARY 25, 2022

Marion Susanne Campbell, 87, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother died peacefully at home on January 25, 2022.

Marion started teaching elementary school immediately after her graduation from Stella Niagara High School and gave countless children the gift of her energy, humor, and attention during her long career in the Catholic school system.  After her retirement, Marion volunteered as a tutor in an after-school program.

Although she eventually retired from teaching, Marion never retired from caring for children, first her grandchildren and then her great-grandchildren.  Nothing gave her greater joy than coloring with the little ones, reading to them, or bursting into spontaneous song for their entertainment.  Grandchildren and great-grandchildren often returned to parents dirty, sticky, and maybe wearing someone else's clothes, but always happy.  Her older grandkids will fondly remember Grandma's monkey kisses and goofy Christmas gifts.

Marion was a devout Catholic and active in the Church throughout her lifetime.  Marion taught religious education and served as Eucharistic Minister in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish.  She found particular fulfillment in bringing Communion to the homebound.  As an Air Force wife, Marion crisscrossed the country from New York to Alaska, living in five different states.

Born in Niagara Falls on November 11, 1934, Marion was the daughter of the late Peter and Marion (Hastings) Fisher.  She was predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Frank Campbell, and a son, Timothy.  Marion is survived by her children; Dawn (Paul) Rogeux, Kim (John) Snyder, Susann (Erino) Fabrizi, Peter Campbell, Frank Campbell, and Marjorie (Christopher) Sepe. She will be sadly missed by all 18 grandchildren; Michael, Brian, Patrick, Rhiannon, Shanel, Camille, Kayla, Ashleigh, Frank, Matthew, Kathleen, Marina, Marissa, Samantha, Peter, Nicholas, Jamie, and Alexis and 13 great-grandchildren; Amara, Austin, Connor, Jackson, Jordynn, Lilianna, Zachary, Riley, Parker, Justice, Ella, Journey, and Kieran. She was predeceased by a great-grandson, Anthony the O.G.  Marion is also survived by her nephew Thomas (Marion) Fisher and was predeceased by her brother and his wife, Thomas and Marjorie Fisher.

Marion's children are grateful that she was able to safely and comfortably live in her own home throughout her lengthy illness. This would not have been possible without the compassionate support of many, especially (bonus daughter) Marybeth, Katie, Lacey, and Lisa.

Friends may call on Thursday from 4 until 7 pm at the
LABUDA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 356 Portage Road, Niagara Falls.  All are invited to attend Marion's Mass of Christian Burial on Friday at 11:00 am at Holy Family of Jesus, Mary, and Joseph Parish at Mt. Carmel, 2486 Grand Avenue with Rev. Duane R. Klizek officiating.  Please assemble at Church.

In lieu of flowers, Marion's family respectfully requests that you share your time with a child; read a book together, tell each other silly jokes, color, sing, and dance.  The generous gift of your attention will truly honor Marion's life, and bring joy to yours.
